Through honourable and long-term partnerships, Pathways Program locations that serve Indigenous students adapt the program in the context of local Indigenous worldviews.
For example, at Pathways Winnipeg, where over 65 per cent of students identify as Indigenous, the core supports they provide to youth are guided by the Medicine Wheel, incorporating these four values:

· Generosity
· Independence
· Mastery
Creating a welcoming space for Pathways Winnipeg youth means supporting the inclusion of culturally-affirming experiences and land-based learning in their programming.
That’s why, among the new school supplies for students, staff included dried sage that is used to practice smudging during Sharing Circles and ceremonies throughout the year and students are welcomed to the program with an Opening Pipe Ceremony.
