L\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement est organis\u00e9 par l\u2019African Student Association de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Waterloo et le th\u00e8me de cette ann\u00e9e \u00e9tait \u00ab Dwennimmen \u00bb (qui se traduit directement par \u00ab les cornes d\u2019un b\u00e9lier \u00bb). Tirant ses origines de la langue twi du Ghana, \u00ab Dwennimmen \u00bb repr\u00e9sente l\u2019humilit\u00e9 et la force, exprimant le concept d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir la vraie sagesse par une volont\u00e9 de grandir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>30 \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont assist\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement en compagnie du personnel de Hagey Hall. Le groupe s\u2019est divis\u00e9 en deux sous-groupes avant la repr\u00e9sentation. Dix \u00e9l\u00e8ves sont all\u00e9s assister \u00e0 des matchs de basketball f\u00e9minin et masculin! Les autres \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont profit\u00e9 d\u2019une galerie d\u2019art, de kiosques de vendeurs, d\u2019un photomaton et d\u00e9gust\u00e9 de d\u00e9licieux p\u00e2t\u00e9s \u00e0 la viande et des puff puffs (une savoureuse p\u00e2tisserie frite)!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s la galerie, l\u2019ensemble du groupe a assist\u00e9 \u00e0 de magnifiques performances sur sc\u00e8ne qui comprenaient de la po\u00e9sie parl\u00e9e, des d\u00e9fil\u00e9s de mode, du chant, du piano, de la danse et un court m\u00e9trage; toutes aussi \u00e9tonnantes et inspirantes \u00e0 voir pour nos jeunes (et nous)!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous avons \u00e9chang\u00e9 avec les \u00e9l\u00e8ves tout au long de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement et voici leurs commentaires : \u00ab C\u2019est tellement amusant \u00bb, \u00ab Je passe un excellent moment \u00bb, \u00ab J\u2019adore \u00bb, \u00ab C\u2019\u00e9tait g\u00e9nial \u00bb. Certains \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont m\u00eame approch\u00e9 les artistes apr\u00e8s le spectacle pour leur dire \u00e0 quel point ils ont ador\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s les repr\u00e9sentations sur sc\u00e8ne, nous avons tous d\u00e9gust\u00e9 du riz, des l\u00e9gumes, du plantain et du poulet! Il s\u2019agissait \u00e9galement d\u2019une excellente occasion d\u2019\u00e9tablir des liens avec les jeunes \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur de l\u2019\u00e9cole et du milieu du programme, et nous avons pu apprendre \u00e0 conna\u00eetre davantage de jeunes en participant \u00e0 cette exp\u00e9rience.&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pathways Kitchener had a wonderful time on Saturday February 8th with youth at The Real African Culture Exhibition Showcase at University of Waterloo.
